Global Change Games: Never Alone: Foxtales

November 12, 2021 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

It can be difficult to talk about climate change. Through the use of fictional scenarios, games help us explore and reflect on the challenging and sometimes frightening problems we face. In this series, we will livestream gameplay and discuss how climate change games help us understand and grapple with the diverse and interrelated problems resulting from rapid global change.
Never Alone was developed in collaboration with the IƱupiat, who are Alaska Natives. Players of the game experience a gorgeously animated world as a little girl named Nuna travels with her Arctic fox. Nuna and her fox work creatively together to solve the mystery behind an abnormal blizzard.
During this event, College of Design senior Meghan Tankersley will play Never Alone and talk about how this game provides an inspiring platform for learning about climate change through new perspectives. This event will be streamed live from our Twitch page. Anyone can watch the livestream, and if you have a free Twitch account, you can ask questions and comment in the live chat. Recordings of past streams are available on our YouTube page.
