  • Venture Center Wins Prestigious Building Award

The Venture Center complex located on NC State University’s Centennial Campus has received The Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY) Award for 2011 by the Raleigh-Durham chapter of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA). The complex won in the “suburban low rise office park” category.

The TOBY Awards recognize quality in office buildings and excellence in office building managements. Buildings are judged across several categories, including physical presentation of the building, tenant relations, energy conservation, community impact, training of building personnel, emergency preparedness and security, and environmental and regulatory affairs.

The building will now content for a regional TOBY award in the southern region. If victorious, the property will then competed in the BOMA International TOBY Annual Awards to be held this summer.

The 474,321-square-foot  Class A office complex is managed by Portfolio Property Management Global, LLC on behalf of the building’s owner, MayfieldGentry Realty Advisors. Suzanne Kempf is the general property manager.

“We would like to congratulate Suzanne and her team for winning this award,” said Michael Harwood, associate vice chancellor for development at Centennial Campus. “It’s one more indication of the excellent work that’s being done by our partners on campus, which we value and appreciate.”

“We’re delighted that Suzanne and her team have been recognized by BOMA for the high standards they set for themselves and this asset,” said Marsha L. Bass, President of PPM-Global.”
