  • Centennial Partners Package 100,00th Meal for Stop Hunger Now

NC State and Centennial Campus partner employees came together to celebrate a milestone - the creation of the 100,000th meal created for Stop Hunger Now on the research campus.

Packaging and boxing from a room in the LexisNexis building, employees spent the day in shifts organizing, packaging and packing the food items, which will be shipped overseas.

“This is an exciting milestone for us,” says Lauren Bridges, Centennial’s event specialist. “It means that our partners have enthusiastically supported us in this endeavor and we couldn’t be more grateful.”

Stop Hunger Now is an international relief agency headquartered in Raleigh, North Carolina. Distributing food and other lifesaving aid to children and families in countries all over the world, the meal packaging program has been in operation since 1998.

More than 100 employees participated in this year’s event. Corporate sponsors included LexisNexis, Bandwidth, Allied Toeless, and Pentair.
