Coffee and Viz: Visualization and Pattern Recognition Using Deep Learning

November 6, 2020 @ 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm

Pattern recognition can be used to identify behavioral changes related to biological and health outcomes in model organisms. These data are complex and require visualization and the implementation of advanced machine learning and statistical techniques that capture spatiotemporal responses. David Reif, a professor in biological sciences and statistics, and Adrian Green, a postdoctoral scholar in the bioinformatics research, will present an application using high-dimensional behavioral data generated in Zebrafish to screen for developmentally neurotoxic chemicals and elucidate molecular targets.
